Privacy Policy
Information about how the INFINITE Learning Materials Repository handles personal data.
1. Purpose of this repository
This platform supports the INFINITE project by providing access to learning materials, course information and project reporting tools.
2. Data processed
Public visitors can browse public learning materials without creating an account. The platform records aggregate usage events such as page views, material views and downloads for internal project statistics. The current analytics system does not store IP addresses, advertising identifiers or third-party tracking identifiers.
For registered partners and administrators, the platform may store account information such as name, organisation, country, email address, role, account status and password hash, together with information entered into courses, materials and reports. Passwords are not stored in readable form and are not visible to administrators.
3. Purpose of processing
Data are processed to operate the repository, authenticate authorised users, manage secure account invitations and password resets, manage project learning materials, generate project reports, maintain security and produce aggregate usage statistics. Security and content-management actions may be recorded in an administrator-only audit log for troubleshooting, accountability and project administration.
4. Sharing and third parties
The platform does not use personal data for advertising. Public material information and files marked as Public may be accessed by any visitor. Information marked for restricted use remains available only to authorised users according to repository permissions.
5. Retention and security
Account and repository data are retained for as long as needed for the operation, documentation and reporting of the INFINITE project, subject to the project organisation's applicable retention obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational measures should be maintained by the hosting organisation. Account activation and password-reset links use time-limited, single-use security tokens; only cryptographic hashes of those tokens are stored in the database.
6. Your rights
Where applicable under data-protection law, individuals may request access, correction, restriction or deletion of their personal data, or raise questions about how their data are used. Requests should be addressed to the organisation administering this repository.
7. Updates
This policy may be updated if the hosting environment, analytics functions or data-processing practices change.
